干女儿的作文

这篇来自干女儿Janelle的作文,读了过后我都有点自卑~
用了好多深奥的字,我都不明白,还得用字典才明白那些字的意识,真丢脸~

Nowadays we often hear people complaining about the lack of discipline in school as there are students who skip schools from time to time, smoking, playing truant and having gang fights. This problem should be curb as soon as possible because the youth of Malaysia are the leaders of the future who can contribute to the further glory and excellence to our nation. This is why they must be taught, nurtured and instilled with good moral values.
Everyone has a role to play in improving discipline in school. Firstly, the management of a school should enforce and tighten the school rules.By doing this, students are restricted form committing serious offences such as vandalism and extortion. If this does not stop them from destroying school properties, sever warning should be given.

Some students who are emotionally unbalanced must be referred to the counselling unit. Professional counsellors can be able to encourage them to air out their troubles and also manage to understand their thinking. Besides that, students will also feel comfortable to talk to their counsellors instead of their form teachers. This is because some teachers may be good at listening, but are not able to give them proper advice.

Some troubled students love to seek attention. This is why they purposely break the school rules and make the teachers get angry. In fact, they wish that they have someone to talk to them, listen to them and care about them. Hence, teachers should pay more attention to every student in their classes. They should also be prepared to lend helping hands whenever their students need help. Furthermore, teachers must inculcate the students about the importance of self-worth and self-confidence. The emphasis of doing so is to improve the students' behaviour so that they will not cause disciplinary problems.

To eradicate disciplinary problems, school authorities can encourage students to take part in so-curricular activities so students can spend their free time effectively. Students got to learn communication skills, leadership skills and independence through participating in these activities. Besides, they will also gain a sense of togetherness and the spirit of team work. Then they are trained to be disciplined and are able to see things from a mature perspective.

The school indeed have many roles to play to curb disciplinary problems, but parents should also address this problem as students spend most time at home with their parents. Therefore, parental participation is crucial to decrease disciplinary problems. Parents should not always busy with their work. Instead, they should spend more time with their children to understand their needs. This is because money is not the only way to satisfy their children.

In short, everyone in this society should be more caring towards the issues related to disciplinary problems. Professionals can also organise public talks on how to handle discipline problems. The main thrust is to improve the qualities of students so that they can give our country a better future and make sure our nation is in line with the 'Malaysia Boleh' culture.
